SIdE summer schools are open to scholars and practitioners of all levels but are particularly aimed at junior researchers and PhD students.
To attend SIdE Summer School, the SIdE membership is required (annual fee 80 Euro).

Week in Perugia ( July)- S.A.Di.Ba. (Scuola di Automazione per Dirigenti Bancari, Bank of Italy)
Fee includes: accommodation (starting from Sunday evening), breakfast, lunch and dinner for all participants.
In case of enrolment to both summer schools, participants are entitled to a discount of 100€ on each course in presence; the discount will be reduced to 50€ for each online course. No discount will be applied for combined participation to summer school and postgraduated courses.
Renounce and refund:
To submit a renounce and ask for a refund, please send an email to admin@side-iea.it.
After the payment, you can submit your renounce up to one week (7 days) before the beginning of the course and ask for a motivated refund. In case of reimbursement, there will be a deduction for administrative costs: 150€ for the course in presence, 100€ for online course.
Over the terms for refund (less than 7 days from the beginning of the course) you need to provide your request with supporting documentation, which will be submitted to SIdE President.
Carlo Bianchi grants
We are pleased to announce that two full registration fee waivers are available for worthy PhD students who opt for the participation in presence to one of the schools. These grants are established in memory of professor Carlo Bianchi, the historical organizer of SIdE summer schools and are funded by a donation of the Carlo Bianchi family. To be eligible for the scholarship, PhD students must register before May 2th, 2025. All in presence participants will be requested to express their interest for the grant and, if appropriate, integrate their curriculum. The SIdE Commission will evaluate the CVs submitted and will inform the winners by May 28th, 2026.
Bank of Italy grants for female economists
With the aim of promoting the presence of women researchers in the fields of economics and finance, the Bank of Italy will fund up to ten full registration fee waivers to cover the participation costs of deserving female students and young researchers attending the SIdE Summer schools or Postgraduate courses. A committee composed of members of the SIdE and of the Bank of Italy will evaluate the CVs submitted in the registration process and will inform the winners by May 28th, 2025.
Francesca Rossi Grants
In memory of Professor Francesca Rossi, an outstanding scholar whose research and academic commitment left a lasting mark on the econometrics community, the Società Italiana di Econometria (SIdE) is pleased to announce the availability of registration fee waivers for deserving female young researchers, funded by the Department of Economics of the University of Verona and by SIdE.These grants are intended to support female PhD students and female early-career researchers who wish to attend one of the SIdE Summer Schools or Postgraduate Courses, promoting excellence and inclusiveness in advanced econometric training.Eligible candidates will be asked to express their interest during the registration process and, if appropriate, to submit or integrate their curriculum vitae. Applications will be evaluated by a SIdE-appointed committee, which will assess the submitted CVs on the basis of academic merit and research potential. Successful applicants will be notified by May 28th, 2026.
