Ninth Italian  Congress of Econometrics and Empirical Economics

 

SIdE is pleased to announce the ninth edition of the Italian Congress of Econometrics and Empirical Economics (ICEEE) which will take place January 21-23, 2021 at  CRENoS (Centro Ricerche Economiche Nord Sud) and Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche e Aziendali, University of Cagliari.

Economists, statisticians and econometricians are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers in all areas of econometrics and empirical economics for presentation at the Congress.

Because of travel restriction related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ICEEE 2021 conference will take place online, on the planned dates of January 21-23, 2021.

Submission of papers:

Papers can be submitted from July 1, 2021 (with a limit of one paper per submitter) at https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=iceee20210#. The deadline for submissions is extended to October 20, 2020 (midnight). The decision notification date is November 20th, 2020.

Prizes:

One prize of 2500 EUR for the best conference papers written by young scientists in Macroeconometrics or Financial Econometrics (Carlo Giannini Prize, offered by SIdE and Bank of Italy).

One prize of 2500 EUR for the best conference papers written by young scientists in Theoretical or Applied Microeconometrics (Labour Prize, offered by LABOUR: Review of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations).

For eligibility to both prizes, all authors of a paper must be no more than 4 years past the PhD defense

 

Registration Fees:

SIdE members (2021):

  • SIdE members presenting a paper: 60 EUR (registration deadline December 10th)
  • Other SIdE members:  free (registration deadline January 15th)

NON SIdE members:

  • If presenting a paper: 300 EUR (registration deadline December 10th)
  • Others: 200 EUR  (registration deadline January 15th)

The 10th December deadline is mandatory for a presenter to be included in the scientific program of the conference.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO CAGLIARI CITY CENTRE
Public transport is an easy and quick way to reach Cagliari city centre from the airport or get to the airport from downtown: by train or by taxi your destination is no more than 10 minutes away.

BY TRAIN
The airport is easily accessible by train from Cagliari thanks to the new ‘Elmas Aeroporto’ railway station. The rail service starts at about 5AM and ends after 9PM with 20 mins. average frequency. The journey to and from downtown takes 5-7 mins, single fare is 1.30 euro. Tickets are sold by Trenitalia at the vending machines (located both in the Arrivals area of the airterminal and inside the train station), online and by official ticket counters and authorized dealers.

BY TAXI
The fastest and most comfortable option to get to and from the airport is taking a taxi. A standard journey during daytime costs approximately between 15 and 20 euros.
